Transmission Pan Magnet Source?

I managed to lose one transmission pan magnet and crush another.
Where can I buy replacements? Does autozone carry them? Dealer?

Find an old hard drive, take it apart and use those magnets. They are some of the strongest magnets you'll find. There's really nothing special about the ones that came with the car.

True, or stop by any local repair shop and ask. I know we have a few old ones laying around here. They actually work great for recalibrating tire pressure sensors on certain cadillacs.

One thing I'd like to add here from my research. If you choose a Niobium rare earth
magnet, you're going to have problems because it starts losing strength above 80 C.
Hard drive magnets fall into this category. Get the specs on the particular magnet
you choose if possible.
