13" honda wheels.. will they fit?

hey guys whats up

i searched and i have a feeling they will, but has anyone tried to fit the 13" civic vx wheels onto our cars?

no doubt a 14" wheel will fit, but i think 13 would probably be pushing it so i figured i'd ask

the kind of wheels in question, in case you aren't familiar:

hmm.. as i understand, the lug pattern is 4x100 for the toyotas and hondas, but the diameter for the hub is different by about 2 mm or so

Wat? Only some of the Accords and Preludes had the 4x114.3 bolt pattern, other than that most 4bolt Honda have a 4x100 bolt pattern.

Why do people put Honda wheels on a Toyota?? Just buy a cheap set of aftermarket rims OR a set of rims from another Toyota.

as long as you're not living in bizarro land like the guy above... they'll fit fine.

my 89 SR5 came with stock 13s and the hub on toyotas are slightly smaller than hondas so honda wheels can fit on corollas but not vice versa.

We are sure the all trac wagon had the same brakes? It is larger and heavier with the awd and being a wagon and all lol. If they have the same size brakes I will be extremely impressed with the brakes on my ae92 lol

i know what you mean man.. i only want them for autocross. they are around 10 pounds each which is nuts for a stock wheel. plus the ones i might get have brand new yokohamas

however i am thinking about picking up these to be toyota faithful:
http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/pts/1032283184.html

any wheel gurus know the weight of each of those by chance?

I'm definitely going to have to veto this... lol

13s won't be any good for autocross unless you put some really small tires on them. I used to auto-x with my 13s and my fiance autocrosses her CRX with 13s and you spend most of your time on the sidewall and not the actual tread because the tires are so tall.

I would definitely get something in the 15" range for auto-x. that's what I have and I love them even though I have all-seasons on them.

my 15x7s are like 13 lbs each or something and are way better

btw, those rims look really heavy

I think it actually has the GT-S brakes... but the front brakes are the same and the rears are smaller...

lol thanks for the advice.. i can sure use it!

a major factor involved is also price, although i never stated that. just out of curiousity how much did you spend?

here are the ones im looking at:
http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/pts/1039139256.html

I think that price is pretty good, especially with newer tires..
they dont look terribly tall, but thinking about it now, youre probably right about the sidewalls. I remember the 14s on my old prelude looked like they were going to get pulled right off the wheel when i autox'd

Well if it has the late GTS brakes i.e. 90-91 then I don't believe 13s will fit. They might rub the brake assembly.

My wheels are 10lbs each and they're 15s.

The Celica wheels you posted from CL are 4x114.3 so they will NOT fit your car... you need to make sure the bolt pattern is 4x100, I pretty much gave a list of all 4x100 Toyotas on my previous post, anything else will not fit.

yeah that was what I was getting at, 13's apparently don't fit the 90 - 91 gts brakes, and with the extra weight from the awd system and the fact it is also a wagon there is a chance they had larger brakes... Hey they also had 4afe's in 89 so again it's possible.
