hey
has anyone tried how fast they can go in second cause i tried today
i have tested it and i have gone up to 90KMH thats probably 56.25MPH
do you think thats standard for a 4AF or did the guy before me do something that has made it like that
cheers
I have an sr5, Yeah I have not taken it over 5k one of these days I will but lately my gas mileage has been low so I'm trying to get it back in the 29-31mpg area
most I managed with 5th was 200 km/h when I first got it, yeah yeah I know it's stupid... I was the only one on the hwy. On top of that it was slightly down hill and it wasn't redlining, I think it was somewhere around 5500. Just doesn't have anything else left at that point. 91 hp lol. I also had to judge after 180 as the speedo ends there lol.
wait till you put that short shifter in... you think it's fourth... SURPRISE it's second. Just because it's bent in the other direction. Took a bit to get used to.

I red lined 2nd on the way home from work today and it was definitively right around 55 mph. weird. I guess toyota didn't really care about the 4AFs 0-60 time
I have an 89 SR5 with a 4AF

for those wondering, 200 km/h is 124 mph. I think that's decent for a 91 hp car. Not to mention it gets to 170 km/h no problem. My moms van (yeah yeah someone's going to say it's a van) took FOREVER to get up to 170. After about 150 - 155 it loses all it's pull. Let's point out those 3.8 ford v6's in that year of windstar put out 200 hp and 240 ft/lb of torque.
