NEED 4A Carb help & advise

I had a helluva time these past few days. The project car aint running yet. I replaced the fuel filter and was suprised that it was mostly empty. I even ran the car on spray start. Well the line that feeds the filter was clogged inside the tank. When I reassembled everything it still had a low fuel level in the filter. Then I swapped the hoses for clear tubing and figured the problem was the carb being clogged. So now I have the carb off and split open. I'm going to need the one gasget to put it back together, and the two underneath it. There was a spring, a fat o ring and a bb size ball in the carb that I beed to figure out how to put back. It might be best go with a rebuilt carb if I can find one. I'll post pics later I have to go do some work.

AE92

Junkyard, best place and bang for $$$. Pull yourself yards have carbs for about $20 where I am.

eBay have carb kits available, Keyster was the brand I used. All gaskets, bb balls, and whatever that may needed changing. The kits are about $25.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you how to disassemble and re-assemble unless I was the one or saw you take it apart... Or if I took mine apart. There's four or 5 little balls, I believe. One bigger one and the rest are small as ever. Get a carb from the yard,

I took the top of the carb off while it was still on the motor. The gasget stayed on the bottom half and the float pulled through the gasget. It would have been better if the gasget came off with the top half.

I think it is worth it to invest in a rebuilt to expedite the repair. Trick will be finding one I think.

If I buy a kit and rebuild it I need good instructions. I'm affraid the kit would be parts only. I'm going to research instructions or a repair manual tonight. Prices for rebuilts seem to vary quite a bit.

With the top off, this is where the chubby o-rings belong. one of them fell off of the top and the other is shown in position on the bottom. I'll figure out the spring and bb size ball next. I think I got a handle on it. I also bought a used carb off ebay. I'll be able to rebuild this one without rushing.
