Mass Air Sensor Electronics

I bought an 89 Corolla GTS about 4 months ago. I daily drove it for about 2 and a half months when it started having some electrical problems. Nothing major, just the battery wouldn't hold a charge and the battery wires were pretty shot. So this past week I finally got around to getting a new battery, new wires etc. I also went through to check the condition of some other plugs and electrical components because there was a slight hesitation just before TVIS kicked in. One of the things I checked was the mass air sensor (located on top of the intake). As I unscrewed and removed the electrical connector on the side, a piece of soldered metal fell off. It seems to me that just moving the piece was enough to break it, so it may be that it had a poor connection and that had something to do with the hesitation. Regardless if it did or not, I have to fix it. I'v looked around to buy a replacement, but no one seems to just sell the connector, only the entire mass air unit. I was thinking I could re-solder the connection myself. I can't find a picture or diagram of the connector though, so I have no idea what its supposed to look like. Does anyone have a picture of what it's supposed to look like? Any thoughts on the idea of re-soldering it? The only way would be to get one out of a junk yard. Would it have to be off of a Corolla or will the connector off of any TVIS equipped motor do? I have pictures of the connector and where its broken but I guess I can't post attachments ... so I hope all of this makes sense. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know? Did I not explain it clear enough? Maybe someone can explain how to post pictures to a post. I see how to attach a picture that on a website, but not just straight from my computer. Can somebody help?

On top of the air-box there is the mass air sensor unit. On one side of this unit is a set of wires. Those wires are connected to a little plug type sensor with little metal leads on the inside that receives the signal from the mass air unit (don't know what its called). On mine, a piece of metal connecting two leads (laterally) on this sensor thing broke when i disconnected it. I was wondering if anyone had a picture of what this thing is supposed to look like.

I had a hard time reading that bunched up story also, it's hard on the eyes... paragraphs win.

Back on topic, no.. you'll have to buy the whole AFM assembly.
