I bought an 89 Corolla GTS about 4 months ago. I daily drove it for about 2 and a half months when it started having some electrical problems. Nothing major, just the battery wouldn't hold a charge and the battery wires were pretty shot. So this past week I finally got around to getting a new battery, new wires etc. I also went through to check the condition of some other plugs and electrical components because there was a slight hesitation just before TVIS kicked in. One of the things I checked was the mass air sensor (located on top of the intake). As I unscrewed and removed the electrical connector on the side, a piece of soldered metal fell off. It seems to me that just moving the piece was enough to break it, so it may be that it had a poor connection and that had something to do with the hesitation. Regardless if it did or not, I have to fix it. I'v looked around to buy a replacement, but no one seems to just sell the connector, only the entire mass air unit. I was thinking I could re-solder the connection myself. I can't find a picture or diagram of the connector though, so I have no idea what its supposed to look like. Does anyone have a picture of what it's supposed to look like? Any thoughts on the idea of re-soldering it? The only way would be to get one out of a junk yard. Would it have to be off of a Corolla or will the connector off of any TVIS equipped motor do? I have pictures of the connector and where its broken but I guess I can't post attachments

... so I hope all of this makes sense. Thanks for your help.
