Gen6 1992 Corolla

Hey im Gordon(new to site)

I bought my 1992 corolla back in september and i havent had huge issues with it exceot for the hole in my exhaust from reving it constantly. My corolla is a 4dr 1.6L 4 cylinder. light blue and the outside and blue on the inside.
i had a couple of questions id like to ask

1)How much would it cost to replace the exhaust

2)Also my car didnt come stock with speakers in the back and i was wondering if this was normal, and also ho east would it be to install rear speakers considering that there was never any speakers there to start

3)Are there any cheap engine upgrades (im only a high school student) cause money is kinda tight.

I think since i bought the car ive only replaced the tires for 139$ brand new

Thx in advance

Sincerly

Gordon

Depending on how bad your exhaust is, you may be better off fixing the problems that it has. Installing new speakers is easy, the wires are already run to the back. And IMO there aren't any worthwhile cheap upgrades to the engine.

depends where the hole is in the exhaust, and what shop you go to. Some will weld it, some will want to replace the pipe. down pipe is 170 I think. The last piece is like $18. The cat to the last little piece is somewhere inbetween. Welding the hole will be cheaper.

The speaker wires should be visisble in the trunk on the underside of the panel by rear window. Here is a link on the speaker wire colors:

For the exhaust leak a common location is the braided flex part of the front pipe assuming you have the sedan.

1)We're not a shop, we can't give you a quote, go to a local shop and ask, probably anywhere from $500-1000 (at this point you might as well go with an aftermarket exhaust from front to back)

2)There are a few threads AND a sticky thread on the forum showing how speakers were put on the back panel, check that out.

3)Intake and exhaust, anything after that won't be cheap... suspension would be semi-cheap, at least under or around $1000 depending on who's putting it on.
