Exclamation 13" Tires

While our 1989 Toyota Corolla SR5 had originally called for 175/70R/13 Tires, we had always used 185/70R/13 for at least 15 years. It appears very few tires stores now carry the 185 size. A quick search online found only Sears maybe still sells them. Maybe Firestone. I am now going back to the 175, while it is not as wide, it's not worth the hassle of trying to fight this Trend by the tire shops. The car is stock anyways, and probably won't change the handling enough to make any difference in just driving normal commute type driving. It's definitely no race car anyways.

It's just a shame these stores did this. We buy our tires at Sam's Club ( www.samsclub.com ) and Walmart also does not carry the 185. Hell, Walmart did not even have 13" tires in stock!

If I recall correctly you can put 195's on that Puppy.
You might want to look into 14" Rims that would open up more Tire options w/slightly Lower Profile.
But get a bigger stick you will have to fend off the Ladies.

Stick to the 175s as they're more readily available... you could go with 155/80-13s but why?

I agree, find a set of OEM 14" wheels and it opens a lot of possibilities like 175/65-14s, 185/60-14s, 185/65-14s and 195/60-14s, my favorite would be 195/55-14s but they're madly expensive.
