Guys, so I've come to the conclusion that my car needs the motor mounts redone. There is a gap between the engine and the tranny, a very small gap. I have got a good guy to help me out, as you all might know, I am not the most mechanically knowledgeable guy when it comes to the major stuff, so I've found someone who knows what they're doing, and who has done many many motor swaps before. Although, he is not very familiar with Toyota. I can rent a bay here in Edmonton for 13 bucks an hour, all the tools there, welders, hoists, you name it.
But, I am going to need everyone's help. I am going to need every once of info I can find, so I can go into this prepared and ready to solve my problems. REN has taken some time to guide me to a few different places, and ask a few different questions around the web, so its a start. If anyone can give me any info I need to know, please send it to me on here, or to my e-mail at glove.hand@hotmail.com, even add me to MSN if you want. I know this swap hasn't really ever been documented, but I think with everyone's wisdom on AE92's, 3S-GTE's, etc, and my colliege's general knowledge of swapping motors, and my willingness and desire to get this done, we can get this done. I will try and take as many pictures as possible, note anything I can to provide this board, as well as anyone else who is of interest in this swap. I really really want to do this, even if I am a newbie here, you don't understand how badly I want this to work. 2 people just gave up on this car before, and I don't want to be the same way.
I may also need phone contacts for when we're actually in the shop doing the work, for troubleshooting and stuff, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys.
So had a guy come take a look at the car last night, he said probably just raise up the passenger side mount a bit more, and have to fab one for the front I think, and bolt up the tranny right. He said it doesn't look like too bad of a job. So, hey, do all AE92's have interchangable rad's? I've noticed on some they have the fan on the outside of the engine bay, while some have the fan on the inside, also different patterns on the fins. Most of the gt-s' i seen at the junk yard have the fan on the inside, but my car has it on the outside, probably just for space, I havent really looked closely. Anyways, my radiator leaks mad, so new one is in order, and there is a shitpile of old corollas in that yard.

mine has one on the front and one on the back of the radiator on different sides
I'm assuming the one on the front is for the AC...

Yeah, looks like the fan isn't connected, I don't think. I just took a quick look, its too cold out right now. I wish it would get warmer than -12*C out for gods sake. It doesn't look like there is room in the engine bay for a rad fan... if there is it's pretty tight. Would it even work on the outside of the engine bay?
A fan can be on either side of the radiator so long as the fan has been wired correctly (and/or if the fan blades are push or pull). Stock the rad fan is in the engine bay and the AC condensor fan is on the "grill" side of things. With your car, expect nothing to be stock. The fan should be wired into your stock system (would assume has a stock ecu in it) and just wired as a pusher. If the fan looks stock, you may want to get something afternarket that can be wired either direction just to be safe.

For those who are interested in this swap in the future... I found this rummaging around through all the 3sgte forums online. Might be useful if you had the AWD tranny from a 3S-GTE
So, I got my Slave fixed, a guy here in town at Project Omega Speedworks had one from an mr2, worked perfect, clutch has lots of pressure back to it now. Now on to the motor mounts...
