Wagon Fold down seats

Does anyone know if the seat cushion part of the seats is supposed to fold up in some way before the seat backs fold forward? I coldn't find a release latch anywhere for the bottom seat cushion but it looks like there are hinges on the front of the cushion. This is the problem with not having an owners manual.

Isn't there buttons on the top of the seats? I would assume they would be like the coupe or some sedans, there's a push button on the top of the seat. If not, chances are they don't fold.

The seats do fold down. I've pulled the buttons on top and folded them down before, but it seems like the part of the seat where your butt would go gets in the way of them folding down completely. In my Golf, the bench cushion folds forward and then the seat backs fold down and tuck in behind it. I know this is hard to explain without pictures. I was just curious if it works the same in this corolla or the only part of teh seat that folds is the seat back.

One my coupe, the backs fold down and the bottom part of the seats stay in the same position. The only thing you need to do is press the release on top of the seats.

the bottom part of teh rear seat in the sedan and the station wagon doesnt move for one reason : because of how the gas tank is made and how its placed in the rear of the car, when the seat is folded, its flush with the trunk
