5A-F problem.

hey guys im from Guyana and i drive a AE91 Corolla with a 5A-F engine (carb)
some idiot mechanic my pops took it to screwed around with the hoses and now the car doesnt idle smoothly and it does no idle up when the AC goes on, instead it goes down, its as if a load is put on the engine and sometimes if i have the AC on and im full locking to turn into a driveway the car might cut off. the idle drops horridly low,

i spoke to my mechanic today adn he said that i should try to get the hose manual for the engine because he doesnt have one, could someone be of assistance please?

Hi ,Im also from Guyana and i have a AE81 corolla which came with a 3A-LU engine but I installed a 5A-F with a honda muffler from a S2000 (sounds sweet).......look the thing is that some mechanics over here dont like to read and some of them dont even know how the vaccum system works on these toyota cars ....your car is behaving like that because the vaccum system was not hooked up right( the mechanic did'nt hook back the vaccum hoses correctly). I have a copy of a vaccum diagram for the 4A-F its just about the same as the 5A ....let me have your Email and i'll send it to you......cant allays depend on mechanics my friend.

I'm wondering if a hood from a EP71 turbo starlet can fit on my AE81 corolla ........does anyone know........ so i can install a K&N filter and benefit from some of that ram air from the hood scoop.....right now all i have is a free flow exhaust....good HP increase but I believe the stock air filter is starving my engine at high RPMs....
