Toyota Corolla E90, engine 2E - checking valve clearence

Hi to all, this is my first post I am from Portugal and I own a 1989 Toyota Corolla XL E90, engine 2E, 1.3Liter.

I want to check the valve clearance of the engine, but I don't know what is the proper procedure to do it. I know what should be the valve clearances but I don't know what valves should I check when engine is at TDC1 and so on....

Any one knows what should be the right order to check the valve clearances on this engine? I can't seem to find it any where on the web.

Also if you guys know where to get a repair manual of the car or the engine I would be very appreciated

Here are three websites that explain the process of checking the valve clearance. Though it is not specific to you car, the process of checking is generally universal to all vehicles.

Thats not that valve clearance that I am looking for. In the mean while I found a web page that describe the process of a similar engine(I guess), at least is a Toyota and also has 12 valve:

http://www.tercelreference.com/artic...djustment.html

The valve clearance that I am looking for is the clearance between the valve and the rocker arms or camshaft lobes.
