Do you mean 4A-GE head on a 7A-FE block? Yes.

The 6spd off the blacktop 20V will mate up to any "A" series engine block, but you will need to get the 6spd shifter too, or modify yours to work the shift pattern.

You might not want to use the 6spd box for that because it has all lower ratios except for 6th. This is designed to work with the high reving, low torque 20V Blacktop.

With the 4A-GE head on the 7A block, It is reccommended that you limit your revs to that of the 7A engine, or not much more. You will have a lower rev limit than the 4A-GE 16V, but more low end and mid range torque.

The 4A-FE gear box is better suited for this kind of engine, than the 6spd, in my opinion.

The 7A-FE gearbox is also good, but it has a taller first gear, and the same final drive ratio as the 4A-FE gearbox. The 7A box will allow you to run longer in first before you have to shift up to second, so there is a trade off, depending on the actual hp/tq curve that you get with this engine mod.

The 4A-GE gearbox has a lower final drive ratio than the FE boxes and so the engine spins faster for any given road speed.

Modification: Changing something to what you thought it should have been from the start!
