wouldn't say it's amazing.....

looks like for the gt17 you may want to richen up around 4500 or so just a tad.....

the torque line is surprising.... however power starts to fall off pretty early IMHO..... and neither numbers look amazing below 3500.

I would say it looks good for a mildly tuned 4afte, though!

A lot of dyno's calculate the drivetrain loss and show (estimated) numbers. Primarely done so people can compare them to manufacturers numbers (those numbers are at the cranck)

But IMHO I think that's just screwing up you're nice dyno results
It's all about what you can get to the ground. That's what counts

So: Nice numbers!!

Any idea for that slight dip between 3000 and 3500rpm?

well i wouldn't call it "mildly-tuned" unless a used FMU off a mustang and 150,000 miles on the odometer is considered "tuned"
-thats what i think is amazing... IMHO... the motor is bone-stock all i have is a light-weight fly-wheel. the clutch is new but stock.

If you look closely at the pic (i know its a scan...) we had to delet part of the line between 3200-3400 because it showed a huge spike...
the turbo spools too quickly and in turn the AFR goes 'too' rich bogging for a split second so it spikes up then back down. it doesn't seem noticeable other than the fat fuel line just after in blue.

Build:
91 1st gen 4afe stock internals 150K miles...
stock "green" injectors

walbro 255 fuel pump
vortech 12:1 FMU
Chromoly 9lb. Fly-wheel

Del sol aftermarket aluminum radiator
-8 oil filter Relocation kit w/ oil cooler
cooling fans (one pusher on rad, two pulls between hot-side of IC and Oil-cooler)

gt17 @8-9psi
ssq bov
2.5" DP to rear sub-frame to 2.25" w/ magnaflow muffler (soon will be 3")
2.5" FMIC & piping

i might be forgetting something there is a bunch...
and on another note i got my SS braided lines in finally!

most dynos don't do that. you might be able to set them too, but that's retarded.

the only ones that kind of do that are dynojets, but that's just because they blow and read high, they don't do it on purpose (sorry jmaz )

on a load bearing dyno like a mustang or a dynopack you would probably read 8-10% lower.

I know you can set them that way
And sadly it's quite frequently done...at least here in the Netherlands, there are some dyno's that read very different results for the same car.
It's gives the client a better feeling, his hard work reading more Hp's. He'll probably come back to the shop where his engine performed so good...strange way to bind clients to you're shop, I know, but it's done.

That's why I don't trust all of them and I only look at the whp's.

Luckely I've got a respected and trusted dyno near me. I've organized a dynoday for some Toyota clubs here. We're going there in October again.
Got some 3S-GTE's, 4A-GE's, Blacktops, 4E-FTE's, a 4A-GZE, a 3VZ-FE and some 3S-GE's.

Should be an interresting day
