Strut/spring replacement upgrsde?

Hello All, I want to replace the struts/strut plates/springs on my 1991 corolla. I read somewhere (don't remember where) that you can replace these with the ones that come on the 93-97 corollas. I read that it bolts right up to the 88-92 corollas. Is there any advantage to this? If it makes the car sit a little higher & more firm than I would like to do this. Let me know folks.
