oil catch can?

I recently read about how an oil catch can not only keeps all the crap from going into your intake manifold, but in doing so, makes the air more combustible and therefore provides an ever so minute amount of HP lol. After doing a bit of research I decided to order one (eBay for 5$). I've been searching myself silly for a diagram how to hook one up to a 4af. It's fairly simple, I just want to be sure before I break something. Any advice, images, etc would be very helpful.

You'll have to do some creative plumbing. The PCV comes off the valve cover and goes straight into the intake cover. If I remember correctly, it's only a couple inches. You'll have to run some hose from the valve cover to the mounting place for your catch can and then back to the intake. Basically you'll be replacing a 3" hose with four or more feet of hose.

I made one out of a compressor air/oil filter from Sears. It should filter better than those eBay ones. You might want to cram some steel wool or a copper scrubber in yours for added filtering.

Can you show me a picture of your setup for a better idea please? The kit comes with a 1' piece of hose, but if that's not enough I'll have to make a trip to home depot, I'll pick up my front lip while I'm there lol. But yeah any pics would be really helpful, thanks in advance.

My setup is on a MR2 and I don't have any good pictures of it. I'll see if I can get you something visual for the Corolla.

i wanna qoute ghostman too !! mine is an ebay can & doesnt have a baffle or a way to "catch" the oil inside it.. putting something inside it to grab the oil will help big time, i ran it without & that lil filter would get covered in oil & an oil film would start building on my chassis & hood ! What a mess !!
