Momo Steerer fit AE92 sedan/wagon.

Will this just bolt on to my 1991 wagon?

It should, the MR2 steering wheel splines are the same as AE92s.

JDM Momo? wtf... Momo is Italian.

That's the same as my wheel except mine is way minter than that, yes according to my hub kit; it's made for a wackload of Toyotas including the AE92s and SW20s.

I presume JDM would signify any car part that was available on Japanese market cars or tuner components sold exclusively in the Japanese aftermarket. Be it made in Italy or Timbuktu, it's still JDM.

The seller of the steering wheel in question states that it's original equipment on Japanese MR2's, which would put it in the category of JDM, yes?

BTW. I bought it.

Yes, I gather everything is JDM nowadays... even stuff made for the north american market as well... that's a Momo Monte Carlo btw, which was made for all markets... it just so happens it was an option on some Japan market Toyotas.

Nice buy, and yeah the QR bottom piece will hook up to the top of the hub, then the QR top piece hooks up to your wheel and you then install it to your car.

Huh?!??!?!?
The steerer I purchased has a quick release hub? There's no mention of it. Is that an MR2 Momo steerer feature in Japan only?

It looks to me like a normal hub. However, I've not seen a quick release hub close up so I'll wait till I get the item in hand.
Thanks all.

I'm pretty sure that's not a quick-release hub.

I see the reason for the confusion. You were answering ae92boi's query that he snuck in my thread.

Would anyone know if the center section is anodized blue. It could be just the lighting where the picture was taken that is giving it that blue hue and the center section is actually the Momo brushed aluminum finish.
Quite frankly, it doesn't matter to me, as my interior is all blue anyways!

Be that as it may, I'd still like to know.
Anyone?????

Yeah sorry, I forgot to quote the QR hub question.

I think it's sort of worn out, which is giving a blue hue against the polished back... here's mine complete with "JDM" TRD horn button... which I got from Japan.

That's a nice steerer, Ren69. The stitching matches well with the Momo logo and the TRD horn button finishes off nicely.

I have this spare Momo kickin' around still;

It's off of a JDM Mitsu GTO. I've had it for a couple of years and I never did mount it on my other car, which already has a JDM Evo IV Momo.

I had originally planned to get a Momo hub adaptor for the Corolla and stick the GTO Momo on it, but when the JDM steerer from eBay came up, I figured, for $15 more, I get a nice Momo thrown in! It makes perfect sense, don't you think?

Dang, this is a spendy hobby to have!

It's here!

Five business days for it arrive from Hong Kong. This dude is fast!

It looks better than in the pics from the eBay ad. The stitching is red, but looks faded to almost a light beige or yellow on the bottom stitching, and top stitching is faded to a pinkish hue.

The middle section is black. Kinda' like Superman's hair black. It puts off a blueish hue in bright light. Perfect for my all blue interior!

So, it should just pop on there and the horn will work?????

I answered my own question while installing it yesterday.

I think I need this;

The brass ring surrounding the hub.

Where as you see here on mine;

It's absent.

Has anyone ever removed the OEM one and adapted it to the Momo hub?
