Need info for 3SGE beams proyect

Well mates, first of all I'm planing a engine swap for my Trueno AE92 and in first place I got in mind a 3SGE beams red top and I need that somebody here share some light. First I need to Know if the engine and tranny fits in the AE92 engine and tranny mounts, 2nd If it does, what would be the best modifications (con.rods, pistons, camshafts, air intake, valves, etc) if you can include the brands I'll be glad. I'll be thankfull if I can get some hints and info about it. Thanks

I was Thinking about this swap too. Anyway it does drop in except for one mount which has to be modified.(this is was i hear) apparently the holes just don't line up slightly so it not a big deal. Just be careful because parts for this engine are rare. That all I know man hope it helps

A guy from our club has put a 3S-GTE in his AE101.

His car was actually a 1300cc engine (4E-FE) and those mountings are different than the 4A engines. From what he told me, the 4E-FE mounting points were a better base to start from than those of a 4A engine, because they really don't line up (A 3S engine is tilted in the engine bay)

Off course, you can make it all fit. But don't expect it to be easy or plug and play. If you're not willing to spend serious money on it and do some (heavy) modifications, don't even start on it

Yeap, I forgot if I can use con rods, pistons, camshafts, valves and some other parts from any other 3S engines (if is possible)

Nope. BEAMS is the only 3S-GE that got VVTi.
