Gen6 Stalling '92 Corolla LSX

Hey, I bought my first Toyota a month ago and I've had a lot of troubles with it, but they're mostly taken care of, except for this one. My car keeps on stalling whenever it's cold. Every morning, I have to start it about 5 times, rev the engine like mad, and whenever I shift, R or D, it stalls again. I changed the Distrubutor Cap along with the Cap rotor, new wires (came with the cap), new Throttle Position sensor, but nothing seems to work, I can't adjust it to the right settings.

Can anyone help me out ? Is it possible to do this at home or do I have to go to a Toyota dealer and have it repaired there ?

Could be a vacuum leak that stops with the engine warms up and expands, dirty fuel filter, bad plugs, defective sensor (temperature related), fuel pump...do you have fuel injection or carb?

Well, the fuel filter is ok, the plugs are brand new, I bought a new TP sensor so I guess it must be the vacuumm. It's Fuel Injection by the way.

If it doesn't idle fast enough by itself when started cold it could be the IAC valve is gummed up. It is designed to bleed in air when engine is cold thus raising idle speed till engine is warmed up. Take off rubber air intake by throttle body . There is a large square shaped hole in throttle body ahead of throttle blade. When engine is cold you should be able to put finger over the hole and feel a strong vacuum. If not that indicates it needs cleaning. Spray carb/throttle body cleaner in opening to free it up. Also the cold start injector gives an extra shot of gas to help in cold weather starting so that is another thing to check. Consult a service manual if you need more detailed information on both of the above.

check if the cold start relay is broken. is in front of the hose of the radiator and the motor.
