I'm gonna shoot both of 'em down. Out of the two options, if you are determined to spend extra money, go with the Royal Purple. I'd do 5w30 myself but I also wouldn't spend $10/qt for oil. If you want to be different, put Shell Rotella T 15w40 in like I'm doing. That's a cheap diesel oil that'll treat you great.

For the spark plugs, there's no reason to use anything fancy on these engines. Get copper NGK Vpowers and gap them properly. Then change 'em every other oil change -- that's pretty ricey and you'll still save money.

What year is your car and what has been done to the engine?

Yes sir. Mainly zinc and phosphorus. It's cheap ($3/qt) and readily available. It's a good oil, I just wish it was available at lower weights.

AE92

Oil - I use Mobil1 Fully Synthetic 5W30, never had engine problems. The carb, the tranny, the alt, starter, anything had problems but everything that makes up the engine never had problems. 235k miles, going strong!

Sparkies - I personally like either Denso or NGK brands. They're all very good.

Oil: Refer to your owners manual and use the grade that's recommended there.

Pulstars: I would never spend $100 for spark plugs, but hey it's your money.
