power steering problem 89 corolla gts

Guys...I recently moved (manually pushed the livin lights) my out of commissioned toy over to the right side of my garage and found a puddle of what I believe is power steering fluid on the passengers side of vehicle. I looked at the lines and cant seem to find where the leak is. Do you guys think the problem occurred during the forced turning of the steering wheel? Is this a hard fix (expensive)? need help. thanks

Are you sure it's PS fluid? PS fluid is basically dexron that's colored yellow,
and is a light oil. Your A/C drain is also near there so make sure it's not
just dirty water. (Water will evaporate much faster than dexron.)

Has your level dropped? PS level must be checked with the engine running.

UV Dye can be used to pinpoint the leak. Transmission dye should work.

thanks for the reply eric...Yup its definitely the PS, because its now completely empty. So I could rule out the AC and other stuff. I will try the dye as you stated. Hope n there is an application that I could use to cement it shut. Maybe im hopefull thinking. Thanks.

If it's leaking that fast, it's hard to believe you can't find the source. Beware not to
the run the engine with the reservoir empty. The pump may overheat. If it won't
hold a charge long enough to take the vehicle on a single drive, I'd cut or remove
the PS belt to prevent damage to the pump. Don't try that if you have weak arms.
