Ok, I just wanted to see what your AE92's estimated mpgs are... I can squeeze out 150 miles from full to half tank, so that's about 22-23 mpg. Held up pretty well, I have 235600+ miles.
Well, I don't have the patience to do the math and convert from litres/gallons and stuff...and I haven't really ever filled up and dried out to see, but here's a comparison...
I drive deliveries and on busy days do about 200km per day. I do this 4-5 shifts a week in varying mileage. In my '88 Corolla (4-AF carb/5 Speed) I spend about $20 a week max. on gas. In a 1997 Monte Carlo Z34 (3.4 liter automatic) I spend at least $100 a week on gas...
That's $80 a month versus $400 a month...I can't wait to get my 'rolla back on the road

Seriously?
You can't calculate mpg that way with anything resembling accuracy. We can't even have a conversation about mileage with that method.
Divide the number of miles you drive by the gallons you fill up. Always fill the tank all the way and reset the tripometer at the same time.
My carbed SR5 get an average of 29.6 mpg. I should be able to drive 390 miles on a full tank. The furthest I've driven between fill-ups was 372.7 miles, my average is 279.8.
As I said... and I agree with Ghostyman... the half tank mark is deceiving, as Ghostyman said, you're better off going from full to empty and using the tripmeter to calculate your average consumption.
Then what you do is divide the total kms/miles you put based on how many liters/gallons you put in at the last fill up (helps to save your receipt). Then you fill up again, reset the meter and run it from full to empty again and recalculate.
The only problem is that sometimes when your gas light comes on you can still do a fair bit of driving before you actually run out of gas, sometimes the gas light will come on, then go off again. The way I do it is to fill when the gas light goes on and stays on for good, that way you know it wasn't just because you were close to empty and you just happened to be on an incline at an angle that tripped the light briefly.
You don't need to run the tank down to empty to figure it out. You can figure out your mileage accurately even if you only wait until you're at the halfway mark.
Miles driven / Gallons pumped = mileage
All AE92s (as far as I know) have 13.2 gallon tanks. I know I get 29.6 miles on average so 13.2 * 29.6 = 390, my estimated fuel range. My fuel light comes with over 3 left gallons in the tank.
Since I bought my 91 DX wagon (207k miles) in April I have averaged 30.8MPG "city".
I haven't taken it on any trips on the highway. I drive 20-40 miles/day around town using back or service roads.
I get about 360-375 miles b4 light comes on so using Ghostyman's calcs I would get about 405 miles an a complete tank. Usually fill up about 50 miles after light comes on.
Also agree with 1/2 tank comments. I get much farther from F to 1/2 than 1/2 to E.
Does anyone have opinions on using fuel injector cleaner every 3 fillups or so? Could it cause more harm than good?

Fuel injector cleaners are fine. My only issue with it is that it's a rip-off for what it is.
I pour mineral spirits ("white spirit" in other countries) into my gas tank when I need to clean the carb or fuel injectors.
It's a good solvent that's petroleum based. It'll do the same thing as the little bottles of fuel injector cleaner at a small fraction of the price. I usually pour in about 2oz of spirits per gallon of gas in the tank.

What's that in liters?
I don't think I've ever let mine run out of gas, but yeah I usually just run mine until the needle is really close to the bottom and my light has been on for a while.
For the most part I get 28-30mpg per tank in my '89 sr5 4af 5-spd.
The most recent tank was 32mpg and the one before that was 31mpg. Funny thing is for the past month or so the harder I have been driving my car the better the mpg. On the 32mpg tank I was taking 2nd gear to 50mph and such when getting on the freeway, and my weekdays are prettymuch split 50-50 with freeway and city. It also doesn't help that I am 6'8 and weigh 290lbs hahah.

Took my 91 AFE (AKA“Cream Puff”) on a fishing trip. Car has 211K on it. Tires are 13” 155’s. On the way to Big Pine I got 34.7 MPG going 80-85 MPH with the A/C on the whole time, and in some places the wind was blowing hard. Also, the trunk was packed with fire wood. On the way home today, (no firewood), driving 80-85, wind blowing bad at times, no A/C I got 41.2 MPG.
