Will these Celica wheels fit? (I know...shoot me >.>)

Sorry in advance...I know it's probably buried somewhere in the forums...did a search for 'celica wheel' and turned up nothing.

Someone locally is selling a set of '88 Celica mags + tires and I'm really tempted to snatch em up because I don't really care for 16-17" rims.

I know the 4 bolt pattern matches, but is there anything else that will determine whether these will work on my '88 Sedan? I have a feeling it's okay since it's the same year and Toyota, but if someone has a clue it would be really helpful! Thanks

Oh, here's a pic...

Looks like a 4x100. I think it will fit. You'll never know till you try it

YOu sure those are Celica wheels? I don't recall Celicas coming with 4-bolt wheels unless it was the earlier models up to 85 and those were 4x114.3 bolt pattern.

Test fit before you buy, or you'll end up with a set of wheels you can't use.

Yeah, as far as I know they are Celica wheels.

You're probably right now that I research it...Celicas and Celica Supras of that year range came with 114.3 x 4 bolt patterns, not 100 x 4.

I'm really new to wheel sizes. 100 x 4 means it's a 100mm bolt right? So that would mean that they simply wouldn't fit because my bolts on my car aren't long enough...right?

Yeah, maybe it's not such a great idea. Ah damn, they're nice lookin too

haha, that would be wicked if they had 10cm bolts... I don't think there would be room for 4 though.

The 4x100 means there are 4 bolts and they are set around a 100mm circle (at 90deg increments). The measurement is from the center of one stud to the center of the opposing stud.

If the lug spacing is correct, you still need to make sure the offset is compatible.

Most of the time you also need to make sure the center bore of the wheel is the same if not bigger than the bore of your hub (the center circle)

luckily corollas have the smallest center bore I know of at 54.? mm so everything fits on them

Very good point. That's why, for instance, Civic wheels fit on Corollas but not vice versa (IIRC).

celicas 86-91 could have had a 4x100 lug pattern. the st and gt models 86-89 had that pattern and 90-91 ST had that pattern. prior to 86 it was 4x114.3 and the higher end models 86-91 had 5x100 and after 92 they all became 5x100.

center bore should be the same for the corolla actually.

I dont imagine you would have a problem with offset, the suspension 86-89 is practically the same for the ae92s (a lot of part numbers even cross over like coil springs).

Yeah, that is from the lower trim level Celica, ST162 I believe. It was the first FWD Celica. The wheel should have no problem fitting, since the center bore should be identical among all Toyota passenger cars of that vintage. The wheel also is probably very skinny, likely 13x5" or 5.5", and should have the typical Toyota FWD high offset. Are you sure you want to stick with 13s? At any rate, these aren't gonna rub, if that's what you're worried about.
