Carburetors for 4AF

I recently deleted my cat, upgraded my ignition, and pulled out all of the stuff associated with AC. I was surprised at how much quicker my car was, leading me to believe it has some potential. Nothing serious, just for fun. To get to the point though, I've been reading tons of posts about weber carbs, both 32/36's and 38's. I'd like to explore my options, so if anybody knows of anything else I'd greatly appreciate it. I know the 4AC adapter plate fits the 4AF,but if I went with a different setup would I have to fabricate something? Any info would be appreciated.

Just get some DCOE's or then upgrade to EFI and get some throttlebodies.

my Weber 38 kit might be for sale soon... it has about 10 miles on it ... I'll throw in a fuel pressure regulator too.

I'm awesome and bent one of my valves... so I'm probably going to swap in a silvertop.

you need the adapter plate, it won't fit by itself very easily.

That's what I thought. C'est la vie.

LOL, I thought 6psi for the stock 4AF carb was low.

eage8, how much would you be asking and would you be able to ship? The adapter plate for a 4AC should work right?

yeah, I assumed if was a bent valve because that's what it sounded like, I thought maybe the valve might have overextended itself due to old springs, but after watching some youtube videos I think I might have spun a bearing.

it sounds kind of like this:

That video didnt help much. Hondaboy reving his car with a busted engine. Unless you ran low on oil/oilpressure, sounds unlikely. You did have fueling problems didnt you, a burnt valve might also be the issue.
