I believe the SR-5 and the sedan have the same suspension, except the SR-5 had a rear sway bar.
Everything from the GT-S will fit the sedan, but might involve more swapping than just the part you want.
If you want front sway bar on the sedan you will need to get the lower control arms and control arm rear brackets also from the GT-S.
SR-5 / Sedan
4A-F / 4A-FE engine (econo)
5spd or automatic transmission
front disk, rear drum brakes
rear sway bar (SR-5 only)
GT-S
4A-GE engine (performance)
5spd only
4 wheel disk brakes
front and rear sway bars

I swear I just saw a SR5 today in Fred Meyer parking lot that was a 2 door and looked just like my GTS but without the side skirts. What engine is in the SR5? Is it the same 4AGE?

All SR5s are 2 doors.
SR5s have either a 4AF or a 4AFE depending on the year.

That's what an SR5 should look like, a GTS without the side skirts and spoiler... And yes as eage8 said they have 4af or 4afe engines.
So why did Toyota even make an SR5 model lol, it doesn't even make sense. It's not even much different. Why didn't they just call it the GT or somethin.
I forget what car it was that came out with the sr5 first but back then 5 speeds were a big deal and sr5s were since known as the sporty high end models. That's probably why they didn't call it a gt, I also think SR5 was the sport model for corollas for a while. I couldn't tell you for sure on the history of the sr5 branding on corollas or anything but I think I have a basic idea anyways. I really don't know why they actually made the sr5 but my guess is it was a sporty car but cheaper than the gts. It has the looks of a sporty model but the efficiency and drive ability of an economy model would be my guess.
Or maybe they knew gt-s's would have a problem with moisture being trapped under the spoiler seating and causing minor water leaks into the trunk during heavy rain. So they made a model without a spoiler so I could pick one up and not have to worry about filling the stupid holes from the spoiler.

Maybe the GTS was the poor man's sports car and the SR5 was the poorer mans sports car?
Or the SR5 was for the people that didn't necessarily care about performance but still wanted the styling of the coupe.

Did you read the second post of thie thread?
The SR-5 has a 4A-F or 4A-FE engine, same as the sedan. The GT-S has a 4A-GE
More differences:
GT-S has side skirts and spoiler, SR-5 no skirts or spoiler.
GT-S has color matched bumpers. SR-5 has black bumpers.
GT-S power windows and mirrors standard, I think those were an option on the SR-5, I might be wrong.
I think the moniker SR-5 was a carry-over from previous models. GT-S was introduced with the AE-86, because the engine was so much different to the sedan

I'm pretty sure I've seen color matched bumpers on some SR5s.
Also my 90 GTS had manual windows but does have power mirrors.

As far as exterior the major difference is the skirts and spoilers on GTS.
But 90-91 model sr5 had body colored bumpers.
Power windows are not standard on all GTS.My 89 gts doesnt have power windows.
I've seen butt loads of GTS in the junkyard with no power windows.
Power options are optional on both SR5 and GTS models.
