Cracked exhaust manifold

My exhaust manifold is cracked on my 91 sedan. This seems to be a common problem. How much should I exspect to spend on a new one, and is there a header that would make any difference in performance?

I just took a look at the two links posted by NexusRift ... I was just thinking the same questions as jkittre777. Has anyone found out whether a stock exhaust manifold or the header was the better choice of the two... especially if used on an otherwise stock car?

eh, I've heard some iffy things about the pacesetter. but ultimately, even with a good header it won't be a huge difference in comparison, the stock isn't awfully restricted. with your stock exhaust and a header the only difference you'd probably notice would be it'd be a little louder in engine bay. even full exhaust and intake would only net you a few horse power on a bone stock engine sadly

but just check around online and local stores, hell the store I work in had one in stock on our shelves. its a common engine, most parts are really easy to find. in store though expect to probably pay about $80-$100? I dont remember the mark up price exactly, I always looked it up on my account.

but the extra money for the header would probably be better spent on a tune up, your next oil change and lunch.

I had a pacesetter on my Tercel. I was totally unimpressed with the quality. It looked cheap, and started rusting within a week, but then I didn't pay a lot for it. I would never recommend them.

I have also used OBX headers, the last one I bought didn't match the cylinder head, but I was very satisfied with the other two I had previously bought.
