Oh Yes. Problems Indeed. lol

Well guys, I think the ole tranny from the ole 3s-gte swap is gunna need replacing soon, when I put the pedal down, I am not getting hte pickup I so desire. I suspect its because the transmission is a c-series from a 5sfe motor, and my clutch seems to be going. So probably switch to an e-series when I can afford it, right now its probably looking like next spring, I am trying to track down a cheap SUV/truck right now, so I won't have the cash for a while. The good thing is, I still have the e-series mr-2 axle with the v6 camry outer... at least it probably wont be a total waste. To anyone who is considering doing this swap, I figured if you guys wanted to coordinate a good time next spring, maybe we could work through a lot of it together, as I will probably redo a lot of stuff next year with the car. I bought it all last year and fixed so much stuff, next year I should have more to spend on it.

Too bad you're not closer to Cali... I've got a spare E153 that won't be used if I put my 3SGTE into my new RA64 Celica (mated with a W-series RWD tranny) as I'm now planning on doing instead of putting it in the AE92.

How's your car been running besides the clutch/tranny issues?

I'm pretty sure the 5SFE didn't come with a C series transmission, only the A motors did... why not just get a heavy duty clutch? it would save you so much trouble.

I suppose. I need to find out exactly what tranny is in there. I probably won't do anything with it now until winter, I think I am buying an Explorer right now for packing the family around in, and the front end of the thing is smashed up, so I gotta take care of that first, haha.

yeah, it doesn't sound like a trans problem.

when you push the pedal down do the revs go up but the car not go any faster? if not, it's not the clutch. and the trans is probably fine if it goes into gear...
