Power switches

Well I just spent the last 45 min trying to fix my damn door lock switch. Basically, I took it all apart, cleaned the contacts inside, and I got the switch to make the door locks UNlock. I know for sure the locks work up and down because I took the switch apart and manually pushed the two contacts down forward and backwards and the locks work great.

But I've figured my problem is that, when I push DOWN on the lock you can hear the switch click every time and it works, and unlocks the car. But if you push it UP the switch makes no sound and is easier to push in, meaning it's not working correctly.

I cant figure out what the hell is causing it not to work, I took it apart 500 times and no matter what I cant fix it. I guess it's either time for new switches, unless anybody else has any idea?

(I also have this problem with, on my side I can push the button and make the passenger window go down, but it wont go back up unless I use the switch on the passenger side lol)

Well I gave up on trying to fix the stupid switches and went to the junkyard and to my surprise found a Corolla GTS just like mine but white, so I grabbed all the switches I need, half of them went in my pocket since I knew they were going to rip me off at that place anyway, and I was right, the guy charged me $10 for the main driver side switch. And he told my friend it would be $150 for a trunk lid off a 92 Celica. Prices have deff gone up at those places.
