maybe the clutch is worn out? pretty rare in older rollas because of their low power output. is there any clicking or any noise coming from the tranny when u shift without using the clutch? do you feel anything if you slowly let off the clutch with moderate power? (rev it harder than usual and slowly let off the clutch pedal?)
thanks! ill try check out the hydraulic fluid.
clutch pedal feels normal, although i sometimes felt like there was no feel (when it was working), possibly some air?
i try to engage and release the clutch pedal, and there isnt any feel like its slipping or anything...... clutch plate was replaced about 2 years ago, with no issues since then. no noticable slippage. maybe only 7k on the new clutch.
ill work on in it this weekend, and report back. thanks for your help
yea def check the clutch...and if u can, try and raise hell at the place u bought it from because like i said, because these cars are so underpowered, as far as numbers are concerned, clutches should be fine for WAAAYYY more than about 7K...unless you beat the hell out of it, but you said your wife drives it, so i assume that it's driven responsibly. it should be the clutch disc though, becuase you still have a good pedal feel, and that's the pressure plate, which never really go unless, again, you beat on em. the toyota pressure plates are pretty good, reliability wise. ive seen countless honda plates that were just shredded lol
do you hear anything scraping or clunking when you put it in gear and rev it up? if the clutch is worn, it should have some sort of contact with the flywheel still, thus making some sort of scraping noise...when the clutch wears out, the material used on the clutch plate surface hazes over, making it smooth so it doesnt "grab" but it should just slide on it.
^^ yea...does the speedo go up and down or no? if not, its the clutch...if it is, its the CV joint. lets hope the speedo doesnt go up and down, for your sake CV joints are apparently a lotta muulaaa

seriously?
you can buy an entire new axle for less than $100... clutches cost a fortune to replace.

w/e i do my own repairs now, so i dont really pay attention to "cost" any more unless its some extreme repair...o yea the clutch was 200, my bud put it in...forgot about that. but CV's are expensive, am i right?
