Balancer Puller Handle: SST 09330-00021

This handle is presumably attached to a second part that bolts to the harmonic balancer
using a pin. However, the "hand" end of the lever (i.e. where you grip it) also has two
off center holes in it. These holes are too small for fingers. What are they for?

Also, a 8-inch goosenecked metal bracket came with the lever that appears to
have a hole for a 1/2 inch square socket in one end. What's that piece for?

Here's a picture:

To restate the questions:

I know (or believe) the end of the handle with the rivets attaches to the balancer clamp,
so the end with the off center holes is where your hand goes. So what are the holes for? They're
too small for finger holes.

Also, what's the other piece for? It looks like it has a hole for a 1/2" socket.

I would imagine you can bolt that extra piece on the handle end and attach a breaker bar to it for added leverage.
