Goodbye Weber, Hello Silvertop

ok, so I picked up my new Silvertop 20V Saturday and I have a few questions, but first my shameless plug:

My weber 38 (a lot better than the 32/36 most people have) is for sale.

from www.alamomotorsports.com it costs $450 + shipping. I'm willing to sell mine for $400 shipped including the required fuel pressure regulator. it only has about 30 miles on it max.

just in case your not up to date with my cars lol, I got it working fine and then went out and drove it a little too hard before it was tuned all the way and spun a bearing or burned a valve or something. The carburetor is fine.

20V questions:

1) does an AE101 or AE111 header fit on an AE92 with a 20V without any modifications?
2) My 20V didn't come with an AFM, does anyone have one for sale or know which kind of car I can get one from? (they have to be exactly the same or I'm just going to megasquirt it instead.)
3) Where do I get replacement equal length axles? (the kind with the bar going accross the back of the transmission)

I think that's it for now. We'll see how this goes

Aw man was really hoping to see more from the carb, but the 20v is gonna be pretty cool.
Sorry I'm not trying to answer any questions but what was the performance change with the weber?

It was fairly substantial. It gained a good bit more torque so I didn't have to down shift into 4th on the highway nearly as much, especially going up hills.

Most of the power gain is in the lower rev ranges though, higher up you don't gain as much.

the equal length axles weren't available in the US..... helps with a little torque steer but not much.... you can use standard C series axles just fine.

the 20V headers are unique -- the bolt pattern is different. A 16V 4age header can be modified to fit and visa versa -- however, the 4age downpipes and 4afe downpipes exit about 3-4" off from one another -- you will need to have to do some exhaust work.

Not sure what other AFM's will work.

That sucks that you can't get equal length axles. I guess I'll just use the fairly new ones from my C50...

I actually already have a 4age sized front pipe that I had custom made to fit my HKS cat-back (HKS made to fit a GT-S), so I think I should be good. I've heard it's fairly simple to modify a 4AGE header to fit, so I think I'm just going to get an OBX header and try my luck with that.

thanks for the info, now I just need that dumb AFM... and a gas tank from a fuel injected corolla...

wait, lol, I just realized that wasn't my question.

My question was a header that is for an AE101/AE111 20V trueno/levin (HKS makes one that I know of) would they fit on an AE92 with a 20V swaped and where would the end of the header end up?

it should end up in the same spot in an ae92 as an ae101/111......that or very close....

the chasis are close enough that the aftermarket headers for the 101 and 111 would also have to work around the cross support that the ae92's have.... I would get the header (if you have one...) and work with it.

However, if you just have the upper 1/2 of the header and no DP, then the 16V stuff has to be modified quite a bit to fit.... may even want to go with a custom Y pipe.

Ha ha sorry guy I had to nag the guy to get him to ship it up here to me. Find a cusco powerball or apexi spiral header for 20v and you have a trade.

Ok, so I've decided that I'm just going to have my cut Silvertop header fixed up a little because it looks a crap load better than the OBX header...

I've also heard that I can use an SW20 Turbo o2 sensor, can anyone confirm this?

I'm still looking for an AFM... I've seen the 4a-gze AFM might be the same part number, so if anyone has a spare one of those, please PM me. When I get home today I'll upload a few pictures of my status.

When I was researching for a friend I think I came up with a early 90's toyota pickup 4cyl or v6 primary o2 sensor as a suitable replacement, there is a thread on club4ag about this serach for it.

Good to stay away from obx header oem much better. and I think I have an extra silvertop afm for ya, let me check for it.

That would be amazing. I'm having a hell of a time finding one.
