I got my plug wires from napa. they were $50bucks. they were belken or something like that. I use NGK plugs. everything runs good. the ones I got from napa are good quality. the ones I used to have, the sleeve pulled out of the tube and I wasn't able to get it back in the tube to stay on the plug

^ wurd, i had that same problem...except, well, heres the story.

I went to get my oil changed @ this new joint around the block (Pride Auto Services). I went to AZ real quick b4 hand and bought some new platinum plugs (NGK i think). So, i got the basic oil change service and asked them to put the plugs in. No big deal, right?

First of all, he comes out and is like "Why you want these changed? cuz your car runs like shit?" Im like no, the car runs great. I just want new plugs and an oil change. So he pulls out the sleeve, and is like "Well, these were just sitting in the spark plug tube. Whoever installed or removed these last broke them. You need all new wires." So he calls his "buddy" and HE tells the guy working on my car the f ing wires are like 130 bucks. im like woah, the car ran fine before you touched it (He put the wires back in, kind of, and it ran like the wires were in the wrong sequence...and that's not a good feeling lol)

Basically, when HE removed the wires, HE broke them, cuz I saw him having a hard time trying to get them out. The wires were the orance tipped ones (the orange rubber that is on top of the wire stem that is the grab handle to pull them out) and he insisted I get new wires...I told him he must be out of his mind, Im not paying 130 bucks for wires, PLUS installation (btw, to put spark plugs in...that cost me 69.99!!!!!!!!!)

Long story short, after yelling at him for 10 minutes about how he basically fucked my car up (pardon...this gets me so enraged when I talk about it lol) he manages to get the wires back together and the car runs fine. I went to AZ to get new wires, 34.99 lol

Anyway, thats my rant about Corolla wires and plugs. What a horrible way to run a business! Way overcharging for something that literally takes 10 minutes. WHO MAKES $350.00 AN HOUR?!?!? thats basically what it equates to.

btw, just go to AZ and get the duralast wires and some platinum plugs specifically manufactured for the corolla. after I did this MYSELF the other day, the car idles much smoother, top end was a little mor elinear and gas consumption decreased slightle (meaning better MPG, slightly)

sorry for threadjacking b4 ha ha
