Intake Question 4A-FE

I put in an intake about a week ago (Short Ram, 1 45 degree elbow and cone filter). When I installed it, I drilled a hole and put the IAT sensor in so it's (supposed to be) working properly. However, there was aonother vvacuum hose comin off the old stock box, so I plugged it...it seems like the car runs a little different, maybe slower off the line. And when AC is on, idle gets bumpy, but it stays consistent and even (idle just gets louder and rougher). Any idea what that cvacuum hose is? i plugged it with a wire nut of a larger diameter, ill take a pic in a min and upload it. Im just wondering if I NEED to have this hooked up or is it ok to leave it plugged? thx
