My AE92

I posted a thread awhile back about painting my Corolla an aqua type color, I posted a few pictures but then never was able to finish the car. I was in the process of moving, which I since have done again, and the car wasn't on the top of my list since its not my DD.

However over the past few days I've been working on it and I thought I would post up some pictures of my progress. The whole car is going to be redone this winter, Right now I'm just playing with color combinations

I'm gonna try to snap some better ones tonight or in the morning after i get a little wet sanding done and get my parking lights back on.

Let me know what you think!

Also, What should I do with the wheels? The clear coat is chipping on them, should I strip and polish them or paint them? If I paint them, Any opinions on what color?

Any idea what to use to remove the rest of the clear coat on them?

Thanks guys, it looks a lot better than it did.

Here it was last year at this time

I will find some pictures of the wrecked front before I started fixing it.

Car is looking nice, always liked them without the body line. How did you go about removing it? cheese or welded patches?

.
Right now its fiberglass, Later I might do something different if I have problems with it.

It does make the cars a lot more smooth in my opinion, I don't see it done real often.

It has WeaponR sleeve coilovers and kyb struts. Right now it could go about 4 turns lower in the front and maybe 6-8 turns lower in the rear. Being this low it doesn't ride amazing though haha. Thanks for the compliment

Also, the aircraft paint remover, I've used it before and it seems to be some pretty powerful stuff, It won't pit aluminum will it?

They are just GR2s, they are already about junk. Eventually I'll put something better on it.

And the roads here suck too, Missouri is notoriously horrible about repairing roads. I wrecked my street bike last year because of shady road repairs.

So......SLAM YOUR FODO and take pictures!

There's quite a few DIY's on the internet on how to polish wheels... most people just sand them with various grit sizes.
