Canada AE92 HID Flip Lights?

On Ebay there selling HID Bixenon Projector's that replace the sealed beams on the flip lights ...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-...Q5fAccessories

i actually already own the housing's shown in the ad on ebay, but i have halogen bulbs in it and the light displacement sucks, the circlular lens in the middle that is supposed to project the light, simply doesnt, and the light seems to displace around the lens and come from the sides; resulting in real crappy light output

just wondering if anyone has ever tryed this HID kit before, because even the sealed beams have pretty crappy light output i would like to know people's lighting set-ups (for flip-lights), as i am in the process of figuring out what i am going to do to improve my own

link not working... but no, never have.

I run H4 housings with regular bulbs on my 90 GTS, I had H4 housings plus Liteglow Hyperwhite bulbs on my old car and light output was OK but when it rained it wasn't as good, maybe because of the car being lower but who knows.

several celica guys on another forum, celicatech, have converted to HIDs (same H6054 housing)

I'm debating doing this one day but for now I'm just using some Phillips Clearvision Sealed beams, better than stock, pretty decent light from them.

I have the cheap eBay H4 housings on my AE92 and they suck balls. They're like the ones in the picture above except without the fake projector circle.

My MR2 has nice eBay H4 housings by Autopal. They're only $40/pair shipped and are much better than the sealed beams.

My Celica has the stock sealed beams and they're better than the cheap eBay H4 housings but worse than the Autopal housings.

For H4 bulbs, I'm running various no-name bulbs and some nice PIAAs. Next up for bulbs is Noyka Hyperwhites.

It probably has nothing to do with the housing but more with the HID kit itself, but yeah who knows.

Do u know if the HID Kit actually improves these crappy ebay housings, because there selling the HID kit with the housings together on ebay, im debating buying the HID kit, but i dont wanna invest $150 into lights that arent bright, anyone have pics of the h6054 housing with a bi-xenon HID kit, ive looked everywhere on the internet but cant seem to find any

im guessing your refering to the RX-7 in the background, its a piece of crap, its been primered for the past 2 years, i once saw the guy re-priming the car in the middle of winter with snow blowing around (retarded)

plus its non-turbo

it does have nice rims though, if i were him, i would have payed to paint it before buying the rims.
