Struts for my '92

Last time I purchased a pair of Monroe Sensitracs (for a Subaru) they came with new bump stops and boots. The KYB GR2 I just ordered does not come with any .

Does anyone know if the Monroes for Corollas come with bump stops and dust boots? Which is the better strut? They seem to be the same price, but if the Monroes come with the stops and covers they seem like a better deal.

I don't know Monroe's current policy.

Make sure whatever struts you buy work with the strut mounts that you have.

I bought gr2s with the mounts for about $300 total. I have never used monroes, but I can't be happier with the gr2s. They are a little more stiff than the oem, but the ride is just as nice as any other car in the family(aside from the corrado). You don't need dust boots. It has been more than 6 months and my struts look brand new. I work in a part of CA where there is a lot of dust/dirt and the roads are not maintained or are just dirt. The gr2s work well through all of it.

I would get the dust boots because they have integrated bump stops.

you can have the bump stops in there without the dust boots. i don't know why you would want to though.

they probably look brand new because as the strut moves up and down it cleans all the dirt off the piston and leaves a fresh coat of oil. all this dust ends up sitting above the seal and forms an abrasive mixture of dirt and oil.
