Front difroster,, im new - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

hey, i got a 92 burgundy DX with 81k miles. i have a problem with my front defroster. it works at first barely.clears 1/4 of my windshield from the bottom. about 45 minutes of driving and it will finally start to unfog. this is only when its rainging a decent amount or when ever it snows. can any one with more experience with toyotas give me some help and advice on whats wrong or is this how they all are. i move the slide to change where it blows out of and it doesnt click so im thinking the cable that controls the slide is broken or unhooked...(if it is a cable im used my 65 Tempest lol)

it's probably the cable. you can change it manually underneath the drivers side of the dash. there should be something you can turn, that's how I work mine :P
