upgrades?

hey im just curious, its a beater. but what modifications can i do to it.i know intake, header, exhaust.but what about taking a cyl. head, intake manifold, throttle body, injectors, or ecu from another engine/car?

its a 92,4AFE with a 3 speed auto also with no cat lol.it rotted apart and just took it out
any suggestions would be appreciated.



o yea any muffler suggestions? something deep and not hollow/empty sounding

Engine swap. Choice of 4AGE 16v Bluetop, 4AGE 16v Redtop, 4AGZE 16v Supercharged, 4AGE 20v Silvertop, or 4AGE 20v Blacktop (with opt. of 5 or 6spd).

4AGE motors have quite a few upgrades... And they're all motors that requires no custom fitting (all same 4A blocks).

what about upgrade the tb to a 4age one will tha fit??

I doubt if it would make a worthwhile difference. The intake tracts are smaller on your engine, so it will still choke down.

Engine swaps for the AE92 Corolla

Apart from a swap, turbo will be the next choice.
Jmaz has done a turbo job on his sedan, with a good write-up on here, do a search or just PM him.

I am pretty happy with my 7A-FE swap. It gives better response than the original 4A-GE, and has the same HP.

Don't hold me to this, but I think if you got the right year 7A-FE, your current ECU and wiring would run it with no problem and no other modification.
