ive never seen those for the ae92 before.... not sure about the bottom brace but im sure the ae92 could benifit from the fender braces..

I have a lower arm bar on my FC and it helped a lot was was very noticeable. It's kind of like the one in the top picture, but it mounts to the rear lower control arm mounts instead of what looks like the front mounts and the sway bar brackets... it would probably be pretty nice.
as for the fender bars, miata guys use them a lot and like them, I'm not sure how much it actually does for the corolla though.

I have a cage in my street car.. really the padding on the B pillar isnt that thick so I'd pop my head either way, but I do have 4 point harnesses and bucket seats too
AS for the miata guys liking it, sure, its a roadster, every open top car is flimsy.
Regardless... if your head explodes your body will still be intact
Plus on the bright side with a roll cage your car will be as stiff as a bitch! No need for silly dinky braces.
If you got good padding your head should do less exploding in a collision, or you could like you said drive around with a helmet on, you would look serious, and you'd be hella safe.
