HELP flushing tranny!?!?!

hey guys
i just bought an AE92 gts off craigslist and was thinking about doing a transmission flush.

It seems fine but i wanna do the flush because:

1. Just to be safe
and
2. I just wanna be safe(plus im guessing itll only help)

heres where you come in. is there anything tricky about it
or is it pretty straight forward?

If the fluid color is fine and the tranny works fine, and is at the right fill level, don't mess with it..

if its a manual transmission, dont bother, they're impossible to flush as its lubed by splashing oil.

I agree that if the fluid looks good and the level is fine leave it alone... for some reason, whenever anyone messed with a trans that is working fine with good fluid, something goes wrong with it.

I have only changed my fluid one time in my manual trans.. and I did not get to drain it all, it was when I replaced the half-axles and seals..

one time in 350,000 miles..

tranny works great..

If you really want to change the fluid, it has a drain plug on the lower aft area, and a refill plug on the forward side. I think they are both 22mm heads.
As said before you probably won't be able to flush it, but you will get most of the fluid out, just like an engine oil change.

My recommendation is always, get the book.
The Haynes manual will do, and you can probably get any auto parts store to one order for you.
The Toyota manual is my preference and you can get that from books4cars.com. They cost more, but you will find that it is worth the difference.
