the E-series Transmission that the 4wd version use is a bit shorter....
Do you mean that the final drive ratio is different, or the gear ratios are different?

the final drive is different, and the gears ratio are differents
dont remember where a saw it, but i swear, both are not the same
The probability is that the diff ratios would be where they would make them different.
Look back at the numbers I posted and you will see that the differential ratios differ between the 4A-FE and 4A-GE.
I would guess if it is different to the 4A-FE in the sedan and coupe, it would be the same as the 4A-GE. Just a guess.

the C52 is short as crap. being shorter than the C50 (sr5 and sedans) isn't really that hard though...) I would guess it's between the 2 or maybe the same as the c52.
I'm pretty sure the actual gears are different with the c52, not just the final drive, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure they're different for the C56, I've read that 3rd and 4th are shorter...
but really I don't think anyone really knows... they toyota community doesn't seem to really care about specifics like this. If you call up toyota they might be able to tell you

Don't know the actual gearbox ratios, but the (rear) differential ratio is 2.929:1. The transaxle/transfer case gears it down to match the front axle ratio which is somewhere around 4.30:1.

thank you so much. with the program gearCalc i now know my gear ratios. and along with the link i posted above its true to the letter - my car at 100kmh/62mph is exactly 3000 revs. now i know how fast n each gear my car can go
