HELP * Oil Press

Lately ive noticed that my 4age being a lil weird. Since ive had it its oil press gauge been at most time at between the 2 last marks on the high side at all times even at idle. Now lately it stars lower almost at middle. It only rises when im running..and at idle it drops back 2 half. Ive already check oil nd changed it and it has enough, got no leaks. Last thing ive done its clear the intake, put on the right ignition timing, temperature its at all times at normal, nothing else. Im not notticing any other thing out of ordinary..its running great but still this troubles me. Is this normal or sumthing is wrong?

BTW..anyone noes where i can find or if any other car uses the same valves. Cause i dont have any rear braking cause both valves for both sides are clogged. The other prob the only way to get them is by buyin the whole set for brakes. I need 2 noe any way 2 unclogg them or replacements

usually when an OPSU is on the way out it gives erratic readings causing the value to rise and drop dramatically. its a common problem on chevy's. I would just start with replacing it it shouldn't cost more that 40$.
not really understanding you brake question, perhaps my terminology is lacking. what valves are you referring to ?

idk bout teh oil press problem. All i can tell is that it started when i was idling at night..next thing i noe..oil press goes down 2 to half, rpm dropped to around 800 or so. When i start driving I begin to hear some pinging like if the timing was wrong. The engine wasnt overheated...it never did, pinging stop after sum time when the pressure went up while driving and it couldnt be timing cause its at its right timing. After that check oil level, it was normal. So far since then every time im idling the press goes down little by little, rpms drop round 1000 or a litle less if idling 2 long then goes to normal operation while driving, when since i got the car it was always at high most of time and never went down so fast. So far ive only thinked that it may be the oil pump its at is last breath but I dont know

As for the brake im talking about the valves where you have to bleed the brakes. They seem to be clogged, and so far everyone's told me there isnt no way to unclog them. The only way here to get replacement is to buy the whole brake kit tha brings everything and throws you off to $120+. I just wanna know if theres any other that fits the same or where i can get them easier without payin a whole kit i dont need

they have break bleeders at most good auto parts stores like napa. they are generic in that there are only a few everyone uses. try a local shop.
I would start with replacing the oil pressure sending unit before going for the oil pump it will make the car do strange things.

well idk the sender unit seems 2 be working now after all this time, why would changing the pump make it start doing weird things?

He is saying change the sending unit first. If that does not fix the problem, then change the pump.
If the sending unit is going bad, it can do weird things to what the gage is saying.

nah but its not the sending unit..I guess its not possible with the unit gone haywire to make my rpm drop too since the press has always been between the first 2 needles since ive had my AE92. Its been always between the first 2 needles and recently its when i stop or im idling it goes down slowly to almost the half needle. In a start at cold..it goes a lil bit lower than the first 2 needles and at a start at normal temperature it mostly goes to half. If it was the sending unit it wouldnt make my rpm drop too. So its defenetly the oil pump its dyin on me right?

No.

As long as the oil pressure is past the middle line or near it you are fine. Check your oil level and cyl compression. Do you see blue smoke from your tailpipe?

What are you idling at? at 1000rpms your oil pressure should be approximately on the middle line. Your oil pressure will drop under 1000rpms. On a cold start start your oil pressure should rise fairly quickly to the middle line.

edit: You should be checking other things that effect oil pressure before jumping to the conclusion of it being your oil pump. Just my 2 cents.

also when I said your pressure needs to be between the 2 marks on the high side... I forgot there is 3 marks on our gauge... to say it easier anywhere near or above the middle line when you are about 1000 rpm should be fine imo.

well its every start whether cold or at normal temp the gauge rises more than halfway nedle. When running it goes to the to highes needles or lil less. On a cold start it rises at almos the highest needles since its cold, RPMs lower as it gets to normal temp. I got my idle to be round 1000rpms at normal temp. And no theres no blue smoke comming out. it never has, oil level its at normal and a lil bit more but nothing out of normal and i got no oil leaks. As for cycl compression got nothin out of order as i can tell performance wise..all i got is that oil pressure problem

Sounds fine to me!

I don't think you have a problem.... Your oil pressure sounds good to me.

aiight may seems its not the pump since if from the beggining it would make sum sounds in the engine. It seems it is some part inside the oil pan that gets clogged..so it had been said by a mechanic friend of mine.I dont remember the part name in english..but it could be my maker of problems
