I know the 4th gens share a lot with the ae92, I dont know about the 5th gens. I doubt it though after working with both, but I could be mistaken.

Get a rear knuckle/spindle assembly from any AE 92 (disk or drum) from the junk yard and do a trial fit.

Also have to get the brake proportioning valve machined so the pressure would be correct for the rear disc brakes.

I agree, test fit it.

Better yet. Do the test fit at the junk yard. That way you don't spend any money.

I never heard of machining the prop valve. What exactly do you machine? I'm interested in this in case I don't find an actual disc brake valve.

Or, you could just install an adjustable proportioning valve and set it to where you like it.

I own a 94 Camaro Z28. When installing a ford 9" rear in this car, you lose the abs brake capability. So you install an adj. prop valve and test and adjust until it's is where you want it.

Or, get one off a disk brake car.

Or, you could just get a proportioning valve from a Corolla GT-S.

The Corolla coupe with rear drums would be equivalent to our SR-5. That model has the 4A-FE engine.
Our GT-S has rear disks and the 4A-GE engine.

I upgraded my front brakes to that of the AE101 DX that has the 1.8L 7A-FE engine. I am not sure of the measurements but both the disk and also the caliper piston are larger.

No gts in the wreckers here, and most times you are lucky if you find an sr5 or sedan than the engine bay hasn't been polished clean...

I doubt it's cheap from the dealer.
