Canada Brake light problem

My rear brake lights stopped working along with the cruise control. The third brake light works. I replaced the brake light switch and the fuse. Still not working. I checked the brake light assembly, and I noticed that the lights were super dim, like they're about to die. Recently replaced the bulbs too.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Canada

Had a 91 Corolla, that gen. is notorios for having Ground Screws on the taillight assemblies that vibrate loose. It is a metal nut on a plastic post that clamps the ground wires. One on each housing, access from inside the trunk. Look close as to the casual look they appear fine but are loose. Mine had also fried the brake light sockets due to the bad ground.

Hmmm, never thought of that before ^_^

Thanks a lot guys.. will look into it asap..

That's why I love getting opinions from TN instead of going to my mechanic.. I always get a straight up answer

Except for that time that I asked how to take off a cig lighter, LOL!!!
