Yes, that is preferable.

What's your goal and budget?

Putting it IN the engine would certainly ruin it. Doubt if it would even fit

But bolting one to a Blacktop would probably harm the reliability of the engine. The Silvertop is the better choise of the two 20V for a turbo of supercharger application.
The 4A-GZE would be even better, but they are getting hard to find

You would have to get lower compression pistions 11.1 is a bit too much for boost. Unless its really low.

another reason why the silvertop would be better. it only has 10.5:1 still really high, but lower. I cheaper way to get lower compression is to put a thicker head gasket on or even put washers on your spark plugs.

people this is getting crazy this question is asked like 2x a week.

THE SEARCH WORKS, USE IT!!

this is also covered in the swap sticky.

hate to be a dick but its getting crazy.
searching before starting a thread should be in the rules.
or there should be a sticky for all the frequently asked questions. like:

where to get CAI and what are the benefits?

what headers will work for my engine?

what engine is best for turbo?

what hubs are compatible for rear disc conversion?

what wheels and tires will fit my car?

what is the difference between silver and blacktop?

where can I get aftermarket parts for my car?

just sayin its common sense and is helpful to all.
