Ready to throw money at it

I have still not solved my vibration issue. If anyone wants background the link is below. I am thinking of just throwing money at it. Mounts, cap, wires even though all this checks out. Where would you all start? Which motor mount or just replace all of them? Thanks.

Rough idle/ Vibration

Rattles all the windows & plastic. Not sure how to describe it. With your chipped valve, did it show up with a compression check or vacuum check? My vacuum is steady & compression is good.

The mounts looked fine for my celica but replacing all four elimated the strong vibration I was feeling.

That's sorta what I am hoping. Did you use aftermarket or Toyota mounts?

Does your car vibrate in neutral too? My car only vibrates in drive, when in neutral the vibration disappears. So I'm thinking my idle control is a little off

Any gear but worse in drive when the idle goes down. I turned the idle down to where it usually is in drive & at that RPM the vibration was just as bad. the idle air valve checks out & is clean.

never checked... it blew a HG and I got a 4age.

you may show good compression, but you might want to do a leakdown test

I used after market mounts for the front and rear since they were readily available for the 5sfe. The side mounts were toyota parts from 1sttoyotaparts.

I had to repalce all four, it wasn't until the final one went in that the vibrations subsided.

750 seems about right. I tried turning it up till it smoothed out & got a 1200 RPM when cold in park, idle speed. I wonder what would happen if I kept the diagnostic connector jumped after I was done setting my idle speed? Probably affect the timing and everything else.

its normal to have a higher idle on cold days or just when cold-starting in general... timing is advanced as well since the burn is slower
