AE92

Wikipedia works wonders... 4age.net... this forum...

Almost all the parts you need may have to come from a local salvage yard. But you can look up rockauto.com or even ebay.com, they may have stuff you're looking for including body-wise.

What else do you really want to know?

- 91 hp stock at the crank (when it was new)
- no front swaybar on the sr5, where as the gts had one.
- If you have a sunroof it'll rust
- bottoms of the fenders tend to rust out
- the carb air/fuel mix screw is blocked by a metal plug
- DIY headgasket jobs are cheap
- Upgrade the tries for the summer, p175/70 r13's blow for hard braking even on dry pavement (which eventually some douche will do something stupid infront of you) Although that size tire is a good winter tire for these cars.
- Leave the lights up in the winter, as you don't want them to freeze shut.
- The tail lights tend to leak on these cars so re do the seal to the car body
- Fix the cancer (rust) NOW before it eats the rest of the car

Other than that they handle well, the 5 speed with the 4af isn't the fastest thing but peppy enough to get around nicely and have no issues on the hwy (the auto's are slower to get going). You'll enjoy owning and driving it

Almost the same car I've got. As mentioned above, at least you have the manual tranny. The autos must be terrifying to merge onto the freeway in.

If you can fix the rust, a 4age swap is a decent upgrade. However, I'd save my pennies and swap in a 3SGTE and then you'd have a pretty darned fun car (I always recommend 3SGTE swaps btw, it's just what I do.)

Any pictures of the car?

Upload them to Photobucket or some other photo hosting site, and then just copy the link ("[img]http" I think) and paste it into your post.
