1986 mr2 buckets into an ae92

Anyone know if bucket seats from a 86 mr2 would be a direct bolt for a AE92 sedan? Looking to upgrade my sedan seats and have a line on a cheap set of these mr2 seats.

they aren't direct, but you could probably get them to fit with a lot of struggling.... I don't remember if ae86 seats fit in an ae92.... but the aw11 seats will "fit" (when forced) into an ae86....

in a 2 door they would be annoying, though, as they don't move very far as there is no need for pasenger access in the "back" of a 2.....

Hmmm, I wonder if the seat tracks from the ae92 would bolt up to the mr2 seats then? Usually the seat bolt holes are similar through generations but not always the tracks. Just a thought. If anything it would be easier to drill a new hole to mount the seat to the ae92 track rather than modify the mr2 tracks to bolt to the floor.

I believe ST162/165 Celica seats are bolt on for our cars, I've seen AE92 coupes with Celica GTS seats... I have a pic somewhere at home.
