4AF air intake question

Hey guys. Is there any way to make the 4AF have a more louder, easier flowing air intake system?

Modifying exhausts is frowned apon here so would rather do the air intake.

I would pefer to leave the stock one in and just modify it to be louder and better flowing but will be willing to replace it.

How hard is that on a carb engine?

you have 2 options.

a) you can put a K&N filter on it. and maybe you could leave the top off?

b) the top of the carb is circular, so you can put a hose clamp around it with a 90* bend and have a normal cone filter intake.

Hey
i have just put a ram-flo onto my carb thats a hole different air filter
if there is a wootons around you or a repco they especially ship them in
but make sure you get the one that has the same bolt system
as the black box on top of the carb they sound really nice and increase
performance nicely.
hope all goes well searching

ok i've taken my time getting these photos but i have finally got around to taking them in between studying for my exams.
heres the link to an album on facebook particularly for the filter. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...7266889&ref=mf
This cost me around 120 NZD and i had to buy an extra pcv valve filter pretty much an oil cooler because there was a cooler line or a vacuum line connected to it so that was an extra 19 bucks but other than that, This has been the best thing i've put into my car for a while. worth the wait and the money lol hopefully you can all see the photos just tell me if you can't see the photos and i will put them into a different site. I presume you all have facebook lol.
cheers
Greg
