None. All my Corollas have had more than 150k miles with no hazzle.
No blue smoke, loss of compression or other stuff, these engines are rock solid!
Just be sure that the timing belt has been changed every 60k mile.

If got a Corolla with a 400.000km 4A-FE in it...it doesn't burn any oil and still has all it's factory horses under the bonnet
Still feels really strong!

Just service it at regular intervals with nice fresh oil and olifilter and clean the airfilter once in a while. Make sure you let it warm up properly after a cold start...other than that....engines with high milages aren't any different from egines with lower milages on them.
You could replace the fuelfilter, but that's more for you're ease of mind than really neccecary for the car in most cases

I'd go ask the 7th gen guys or the celica guys, most people here don't have much experience with 7afes.

I have a 7A-FE engine and gearbox swapped into my '89 GT-S. To me, it is a better engine than the 4A-GE for a daily driver, because of the fatter torque curve in the lower rev range.

My engine had about 90K when it was pulled from the donor car (if I remember correctly) but before I put it in, I did replaced all the belts, gaskets, seals, rings, bearings, oil and water pump.
Everything looked fair when I took it apart, except for a lot of carbon build up in every possible place, especially in the intake plenum. That I believe was because of inadequate oil changes by the previous owner. (just a guess)

With that many miles on the engine you are getting, I would suggest you do like I did and refresh it.

Since these engines deliver good low end torque, it probably wouldn't have been over-revved much.
It red lines at about 6000rpm (I don't remember exactly) and it has a rev limiter, so that would also provide some protection against abuse (I hope).

What is your plan for fuel supply for the fuel injection system.

what year is your SR5? I think donald assumed it was an 88-89 which is carbureted.

That was my guess.
If it is fuel injected, you have no problem with fuel.
You can also just keep your 4A-FE wiring, but you need to watch your RPM. I think the 4A ECU will run to a higher RPM than the 7A is designed for.

The 7A-FE ECU will not plug into the 4A-FE wiring. You will need to do some wiring modification, and this is a lot more than a weekend job. Plan on being without this car for a few weeks.

Two good things: Your car is already fuel injected, and you are getting the complete donor car, so you will have all the parts and pieces you need.
