turn signal brackets

k i know this might be a dumb question but, are the turn signal brackets connected to the bumper or the bumper support? ever since ive owned my sr5 the turn signals have been wedged in and held up by string (from prev. owner) lol its kinda irking. so if anyone could give me a quick answer, it would save me from buying a whole 'nother bumper...or bumper support. THANKS! :]

You should be able to see the backside of the bumper from the bottom where the turn signal housing is bolted in. There's two nuts in the back of it that holds it onto the bumper. Or should be.

thanks ill go check it out again...the last time i checked, the tabs connected to the back of the turn signal housings were broken off. all 4! (2 on each side) lol which is probly why i thought its connected to the support beam than the bumper. thanks again for this and the other advice you gave me!
